Man dead after stabbing in popular nightlife spot
A man has died and another remains in hospital after a stabbing in a popular nightlife district in Hobart.
Police were called to the Morrison Street car park in Salamanca last night after reports of a fight between two groups.
During the incident, two men, one aged 20 and one aged 23, were stabbed.

The 20-year-old man died at the scene, and the 23-year-old man remains in hospital.
His injuries are non-life-threatening.
The Salamanca district in Hobart is well known as a tourist attraction in the city, with many pubs, bars and nightclubs in the area.

One 20-year-old was taken into police custody and is assisting with authorities.
The person has not been charged yet, and police say they are still searching for other people involved in the incident.
Despite this, police believe it was an isolated incident, and may have been linked to a previous incident involving a person from each group.
