Bodyguard allegedly snatched from home in botched Sydney abduction
Five men have been arrested after a man was allegedly abducted from his home, bundled into a car and assaulted in western Sydney overnight.
Police swooped on the group of alleged kidnappers about 11.30pm after the victim – believed to be the bodyguard of a figure, who is understood to have links to the Alameddine crime network in Sydney – was forced into his own car outside his home in Guildford.
The Ford Ranger was found partially burnt-out in Villawood a short time later.

An hour later at 12.30am, police tracked the victim to Casula in the city's south-west.
He was treated for facial injuries and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
A group of five men were then arrested near the Hume Highway in Casula with the assistance of the Raptor Squad.
Footage obtained by 9News shows police, including members of the Tactical Operations Unit, shows officers searching a nearby safehouse.

The arrested men have been taken to Liverpool Station.
No charges have been laid.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the alleged abduction and assault is under way.
