Woman dies mid-air on Qantas flight
A woman has died aboard a Qantas flight travelling from the United States to New Zealand.
An Auckland police spokesperson said this morning officers were in attendance at the "sudden death, which occurred on an inbound Qantas flight from New York to Auckland overnight".
Inquiries were being made into the woman's death on behalf of the coroner, the spokesperson added.

A Qantas spokesperson confirmed a customer had died onboard its QF4 flight.
"Urgent assistance was provided by crew and doctors onboard but sadly they passed away."
They said their thoughts are with the woman's family and loved ones.
"In line with standard procedure, emergency services met the aircraft as part of the response."
Auckland Airport has been approached for comment.
