The injury crisis at the South Sydney Rabbitohs has worsened, with veteran winger Alex Johnston set to be ruled out for six weeks after tearing his hamstring.

Johnston left the field with a hamstring complaint during South Sydney's 20-16 victory over the Bulldogs on Good Friday.

According to Nine and Sydney Morning Herald reporter Michael Chammas, scans on Sunday confirmed he will sit out for over a month with the injury.
