One trapped, another injured in retaining wall collapse in Brisbane

At least one person is trapped after a retaining wall collapsed in Brisbane's West End this morning.

Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed two patients suffered significant injuries when a retaining wall collapsed on Boundary Street in the inner-southern suburb just before 8.30am.

One person in a life-threatening condition was assessed by paramedics on scene.

Another person has been taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a stable condition after a "prolonged extrication".

Police are also on the scene and have described it as a workplace incident.

Boundary Street is currently closed between Melbourne Street and Edmondstone Street and motorists are advised to avoid the area.

More to come.
