Motorway reopens south of Sydney after truck crash spilled molasses

Traffic remains heavy on a major motorway south of Sydney today after an overnight truck crash.

The incident involving two vehicles caused 10,000 litres of molasses to be spilled on the M1 Princes Motorway at Dapto, reports the ABC.

It forced the closure of all north-bound lanes at Kanahooka Road.

Following efforts by clean-up crews, all the lanes have reopened.

But motorists are being advised to continue to allow extra travel while traffic conditions return to normal.
