Cyclist dies after being hit by a truck north of Sydney
A cyclist has died after being hit by a truck in NSW's Mid-Coast early this morning.
The collision happened on the Pacific Highway in Bulahdelah, north of Newcastle, just after 6am.
Paramedics tried to save the cyclist, but they died at the scene.

The cyclist has yet to be formally identified.
The truck driver, a 58-year-old man, was taken to the nearby hospital for mandatory testing.
Police have established a crime scene at the site and begun an investigation into the crash.
The Pacific Highway southbound lane remains closed, and traffic diversions are in place.
