Burst pipe causes chaos in large parts of Sydney

A burst pipe in Sydney's North Shore has cut off water to residents, caused flooding and sent murky water seeping into the harbour.

Sydney Water is today investigating reports of water supply issues across large parts of Mosman, Cremorne, North Sydney, Crows Nest, Artarmon, Chatswood, Roseville and Lindfield.

Residents have reported receiving little to no water.

It has also caused flooding in residential areas and brown murky water to seep into the Sydney Harbour.

North Shore MP Felicity Wilson said the issue is believed to be caused by a burst water main in Cremorne.

She urged residents to avoid travelling near Grasmere Road in Cremorne due to flooding.
