Beer sold at Dan Murphy's recalled due to having too much alcohol

A popular beer sold at Dan Murphy's and other bottle shops in one Aussie state has been recalled due to having too much alcohol.

Bright Tank Brewing Co issued the recall notice for its West Side Hazy Pale in 375ml cans due to "excess alcohol and carbonation".

The beer is sold in several popular bottle shops around Western Australia, including Dan Murphy's, BWS and other independent retailers.

The date marking on the can is BB200526.

The recall warning states consuming the beer could cause illness or injury.

Customers who have the product are being told not to drink or open it and should instead contact Bright Tank Brewing Co for safe disposal instructions.

Impacted customers will also be offered a refund.
