Amazing: Comedic Legend Ben Stein Goes On Huge Rant Against Leftist Democrats
Stein hasn’t been exactly shy about his politics, and a dig through Twitter shows the bevested, sweatered comedian has long been speaking out against the regime. However, perhaps aided by Jack Posobiec shouting him out, Stein has soared to new audiences and new heights as he speaks from his L.A.-based home.
Ben Stein, known forever as the teacher droning through an attendance roster before getting stuck on Bueller, made a video go viral with his latest rant against the decline in American exceptionalism.

Speaking in measured tones, Stein drops the hammer on postmodern failures and spells out exactly where and how the United States has faltered and what it must do to recover from this downward trajectory.

“After World War Two, the United States of America was, by far, the most powerful, richest country in the world. We had everything going for us; we had more money than any other country, we were more productive than any other country, we had a more powerful armed force than any other country.
And we were just seemingly never going to stop.
What stopped us, what slowed us down? Telling people you don’t have to work, you don’t have to study, you don’t have to pay attention, you don’t have to respect your elders, you don’t have to respect your juniors. We just let this country fall apart. We just took it and we let it fall apart. We took all the people who wanted to hate America and said go ahead and hate.
We’re not going to prosecute you if you commit crimes, we’re not going to make you do schoolwork, so little by little then faster by faster it all started to fall apart. This has got to stop.
This country is the best thing that has ever happened to the human race. We can’t let it go. We cannot let it go in order to please people who hate America. There is a large network of people out there who hate America. Let’s not give into them. Let’s insist that people work, study, follow the law, and let’s not have the criminal get out of jail before the victim gets out of the hospital.
Let’s pay attention to what is right and do it.”
Known to recent generations as a nobody, to past generations as the host of Win Ben Stein’s Money, and then to others as just a random teacher in the 1980s classic Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Ben Stein has long been involved in law and politics. He got an early start in the game, graduating from law school and quickly becoming a speechwriter for Republican presidents Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.
On the latter, Stein had this to say about the immoral pursuit of Nixon’s presidency via Watergate (as reported by Wikipedia):
“Can anyone even remember now what Nixon did that was so terrible? He ended the war in Vietnam, brought home the POWs, ended the war in the Mideast, opened relations with China, started the first nuclear weapons reduction treaty, saved Eretz Israel‘s life, started the Environmental Protection Agency. Does anyone remember what he did that was bad?
Oh, now I remember. He lied. He was a politician who lied. How remarkable. He lied to protect his subordinates who were covering up a ridiculous burglary that no one to this date has any clue about its purpose. He lied so he could stay in office and keep his agenda of peace going. That was his crime. He was a peacemaker and he wanted to make a world where there was a generation of peace. And he succeeded.
That is his legacy. He was a peacemaker. He was a lying, conniving, covering up peacemaker. He was not a lying, conniving drug addict like JFK, a lying, conniving war starter like LBJ, a lying, conniving seducer like Clinton—a lying, conniving peacemaker.”
Stein has not been shy for a long time. Good to see him on Twitter now!
