Rivals circle 'outstanding' Panther after cryptic post
Taylan May could be hot property in the NRL's transfer market as rumours swirl around his future at the Penrith Panthers.
Penrith Panthers outside back Taylan May sent the rumour mill into overdrive over the weekend ago when he uploaded a cryptic post to Instagram as rival clubs circle.
May posted a carousel of photos which accompanied the hashtag "last ride", which is the same phrase Jarome Luai has been using ahead of his departure to the Tigers.
The winger-turned-centre is out of contract at the end of the year, and according to 9news and Sydney Morning Herald reporter Michael Chammas a number of clubs are interested in his services.

Penrith has reportedly tabled a $500,000 offer to the 22-year-old but Melbourne, the Dragons and Roosters are circling.
The Roosters currently have May's brother Terrell at the club with the forward previously revealing his desire to play with his Taylan and other sibling Tyrone.

Chammas revealed the Roosters are moving forward in their negotiations with Terrell despite a "rollercoaster" few months.
"The other factor in all this is the Terrell May situation, his brother at the Roosters, (it's been) a bit of a rollercoaster with the contract situation, a change of management," he said on Nine's 100% Footy.
"Whether or not the Roosters come in for Taylan May (remains to be seen), they've got an offer now to Terrell now, two years close to $500,000. Will that be enough to keep him?

"He started the year pretty strong but it'll be interesting to see what the Roosters do in the coming days because there were concerns culturally if he fits into the Sydney Roosters and how that works. If he can allay some of those concerns I'd imagine they'll get a deal done in the not too distant future."
The Bulldogs had previously been a club discussed as a possible landing spot for the May brothers, but general manager Phil Gould delivered an emphatic "no, not at all" when asked about interest in Terrell.
Taylan has seen his stocks rise this year after impressing in his switch to centre.
Gould praised the progression of the Panthers youngster in the position.
"He was outstanding the other night. He's a style of centre, there are certain styles of centres, he's an individual, he runs his own race, makes a lot of metres, he's like having another back row, front row forward on the field with the metres he makes," he said.
"He's a very passionate, rugged defender. He can play left or right side of the field, he can play wing or centre. I reckon he could play back row if he wanted to.
"When I was out at Penrith we used to call him 'tiny', he was a little kid, he was playing hooker off the bench, I can't believe how big he's got."
