Papenhuyzen sanctioned by NRL for ugly hip drop
Storm fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen has avoided a ban for an ugly act in his side's dramatic two-point win over the Bulldogs.
UPDATE: Ryan Papenhuyzen has avoided a ban following Melbourne's narrow 16-14 win over the Bulldogs on Friday night, with the star fullback placed on report for a hip-drop and sent to the sin-bin for separate incidents.
Late in the opening half, the 25-year-old was cited for an ugly challenge on Bulldogs star Josh Addo-Carr, but avoided any time in the sheds for the tackle.

"It's so hard, he's coming across ... there is no malice in that at all," Ennis said.
"But it was tipped in from the bunker... and there might be some questions for Ryan Papenhuyzen which will be disappointing for Melbourne.
"He just swings around, loses his legs, lands on the back of his leg - it's a hip drop."
The decision from the officials to leave Papenhuyzen on the field was questioned by the panel, with former Bulldogs captain James Graham recalling the controversial send-off for Roosters star Victor Radley last week.

"It is a hip drop and I know coach [Trent] Robinson and Victor Radley will be watching this and going, what happened last week?," the Englishman said.
"The reason Papenhuyzen doesn't go to the bin is Addo-Carr - he gets straight up."
The Melbourne fullback has since been charged with grade one dangerous contact and fined $750 if he pleads guilty.
Papenhuzyen had a rollercoaster evening at AAMI Park, crossing for the opening try of the match as the hosts took a 10-0 lead into the break.
However, mid-way through the second half, Papenhuyzen found himself headed into the bin after a professional foul on Stephen Crichton, while opposition front-rower Sam Hughes was also sat down for 10 minutes for an elbow on Christian Welch.
During a frantic period, Canterbury crossed for three tries through Addo-Carr to take a shocking lead, but a late try for Shawn Blore break the hearts of the visitors in a dramatic two-point result.
The match created a busy night for the match review committee with a further three charges laid out.
Storm centre Reimis Smith has been fined $1,000 for a grade one careless high tackle on Jacob Kiraz. Teammate Alec MacDonald was hit with the same punishment for grade one dangerous contact on Matt Burton.
Bulldogs prop Hughes found his name on the charge sheet for the second week in a row. He's been offered a $1,800 fine for grade one dangerous contact on Welch.
