Following an appeal by police - which included distributing an image of a man police wanted to speak to - the 43-year-old presented himself to Waverley Police Station where he was charged with common assault.
He was granted bail and will appear in court in early September.
Koletti, who works as a hairdresser, rose to national prominence following the disappearance and investigation of his partner Melissa Caddick.

Caddick was being investigated by police and financial authorities over a fraudulent investment scheme in which she stole $23 million, mostly from family and friends.
Soon after being alerted to the investigation into her finances, Caddick disappeared in 2020. Three months later, her severed foot washed up on a beach on the south coast of NSW.
A coroner determined in 2023 that Caddick was dead but failed to establish a definitive cause.
Koletti has not been accused of any wrongdoing associated with Caddick's activities.
