Gladiator II Trailer Confirms Paul Mescal's Fighter Is Son of Maximus
The new trailer for Ridley Scott's Gladiator II confirms a major connection to the first film, as Connie Nielsen's Lucilla -- returning from the first film -- confirms Paul Mescal's Lucius is the son of Russell Crowe's Maximus. Per Paramount, "Years after witnessing the death of the revered hero Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Lucius (Paul Mescal) is forced to enter the Colosseum after his home is conquered by the tyrannical Emperors who now lead Rome with an iron fist." The movie, also starring Denzel Washington, Pedro Pascal and Joseph Quinn, hits theaters November 22, 2024.
