There are some locations that are truly iconic. Buildings and monuments that speak for themselves – embroiled in years of history, stories and unforgettable moments that span generations. Sydney’s 65 Castlereagh Street is a building with such charm; a heritage-listed building originally built in 1860. A historic Sydney landmark, it is only fitting that the space has now become the contemporary home for the newly reopened Sydney Dior Boutique.
The boutique, which reopened on February 4, 2022 after a long-awaited renovation is an homage to the House’s legendary elegance and timeless modernity. Stepping through the doors of the Sydney Dior Boutique, ready-to-wear collections for women and men, leather goods, accessories, homewares, fine jewellery and timepieces are presented across three levels; unfurling with soaring ceilings balanced by more intimate, residential-style spaces. For those looking for a more private experience in store, two VIP salons situated on their own floor provide clients the ultimate in luxury and exclusivity.
While Dior’s catalogue of remarkable pieces are to be considered works of art in their own right; the boutique is also showcasing artworks by a series of acclaimed international artists that have not yet publicly exhibited in Australia within its walls. This sentiment speaks truthfully to Monsieur Dior’s background as a gallerist and art collector; perpetuating Dior’s long-standing association with art and artists.
A corner of Sydney’s bustling CBD transformed into a tranquil experience of luxury and serenity, the newly reopened boutique combines savoir-faire with innovation. There’s a space within the reopened store entirely devoted to personalisation – allowing you to add an extra special touch to items like the Lady D-Lite and Saddle bags to J’Adior pumps and Walk’n’Dior sneakers. Not to forget an exclusive made-to-order service for men, taking customisation to true luxury heights.
To commemorate the newly reopened Sydney Dior boutique, the House is celebrating by releasing an exclusively designed iteration of the emblematic Lady Dior bag in a grey and white alligator. Available in two sizes, it is limited to only three pieces in the small size and seven in the mini. Additionally, in Australia the boutique will carry exclusively the Lady Dior and Dior Book Tote bags featuring a motif based on the ‘La Force’ tarot card, a constant source of inspiration for Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri.
The Sydney Dior boutique is open to explore now – so, what are you waiting for? You’ll certainly see us there.
