Woman critical after alleged hit and run on pedestrian crossing
The woman, aged in her 20s, is fighting for her life in hospital after the incident this morning in Sydney.
A woman is fighting for her life after a suspected hit and run in Sydney's south-west this morning.
The pedestrian, believed to be a woman in her 20s, is understood to have been hit by a car at the intersection of Woodville Road and Kirrang Avenue, Villawood, at about 7.25am.
She was treated at the scene before she was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Police have been informed that the woman was on a pedestrian crossing when she was hit by a blue Hyundai hatchback.
The driver allegedly failed to stop, and the car was last seen driving south along Woodville Road.
Woodville Road is currently closed southbound between Christiana Street and the Hume Highway (Meccano Set).
There is also a partial closure of one north bound lane.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area as police say it will remain a crime scene for some time.
