Search for driver after man killed in alleged hit-and-run in Adelaide

Police are searching for the driver involved in an alleged hit-and-run after a man died in Adelaide's north last night.

Emergency services were called to Hillier Road in Hillier just before 8pm after a man was hit by a car.

Witnesses told 9News there was an argument between a large group of people before the pedestrian was hit by a car going at speed.

The car allegedly sped off from the scene and the driver and the car still have not been located by police.

The pedestrian hit by the car, a 25-year-old man from Andrews Farm, was seriously injured and rushed to hospital.

He died of his injuries shortly after.

Police have urged any witnesses or people with information to come forward as they search for the driver involved in the alleged hit-and-run.
