A man has been arrested by the over the suspicious death of a four-week-old baby in southwestern New South Wales in 2023.
A man has been arrested over the suspicious death of a four-week-old baby in south-western New South Wales in 2023.
Detectives were notified after the baby was taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital on July 27, 2023 in a critical condition.
The baby was suffering "a number of unexplained serious physical injuries", according to police, and was transferred to Sydney Children's Hospital, where he died three days later.

The baby's death was referred to the Child Abuse Squad.
A 26-year-old man, who was known to the child, was arrested in Albury CBD at 10am today.
The man has been taken to Albury Police Station.
Charges have not yet been laid.
Police will provide an update later this morning.
